Kurume kasuri textile has a history of over 200 years and is said to have sold around 2 million tan (a unit used for textile length, approximately 992m2) at the end of Edo period (1780~1807). This pattern, Tamakasuri, originated from Kurume. The white circles are created by tying threads to prevent permeation of dye. Vertical and horizontal threads are beautifully overlapped, creating a soft round circular pattern. This case can be described as both simple and stylish.
